2024 Local Government Elections

With only seven days of the 2024 Local Government Election campaign to go, this time next week the results will likely be known, and I will be either able to get on with the job and continue to deliver for my residents and communities or you will have a new Councillor with no experience or understanding of the needs and wants of Division 1 or the Region.

Being a Local Government Councillor is a job, a very important job that when done right can enhance the lives of so many and when done badly can have a disastrous effect on everyone.

I always believe that the people “get it right” when it comes to election time, and I am hoping that this is the case at this election and voters can see that what I bring to the table far outweighs my opponent.

Before casting your vote, please do your research. Take time to look at all the posts on my Facebook Page and my website www.jasonbartelsdivision1brc.com, even 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗴𝗹𝗲 me, and do the same for the other candidate.

I stand behind what has been achieved for Division 1 and the Region in my time as your Councillor. I am an open book and have nothing to hide. My achievements, vision and future plans are all documented and have come from consulting with you as to what you want and need, which is what I fight for.

I know the Division like the back of my hand, and I know what each community in my Division wants and needs. I have lived and breathed this job for the last 8 years and my experience, dedication, and knowledge for Division 1 and the Region is second to none.

Anyone and everyone that has had dealings with me over the last 8 years knows that if you need me all you have to do is call and I will be there. I have travelled the Division and Region many, many times over. I also live in Division 1 and have done for the last 12 years.

I will never tire of doing whatever is needed to represent all residents of Division 1.

I always make myself available to meet with and listen to my communities and hear what they have to say.

I will continue to fight for what you tell me is important.

I need your vote to be re-elected as your Councillor for Division 1 to continue to provide you with strong representation in Council.
