The Moore Park Beach Community Association approached me earlier in the year wanting ideas for a Project that they could instigate to bring the Community together while waiting for the MPB Master Plan works to commence.
Two proposals were explored, being-
The Kingston Park New Entrance Sign/Mural & A Beach Box Toy Library.
It was decided by the MPB Community Association that they would pursue the Beach Box Toy Library project.
The project has advanced quite quickly, with the Men’s Shed coming onboard and agreeing to construct the box, which the cost of has been funded fully by the MPB Community Association.
The MPB Community Association is going to maintain and stock the Beach Box Toy Library from toys/etc that they have from their second-hand shop The Hub.
The Beach Box Toy Library is now completed and has been installed on the foreshore in Bob Nielson Park MPB.
A big shout out and THANK-YOU to the MPB Community Association and the MPB Men’s Shed for making this community project a reality.
