Projects & Services

19th February, 2020

Division 1 has over the last four years seen improvements & upgrades to roads, parks, community facilities, foreshores, water & wastewater infrastructure, waste facilities, boat ramps and parking areas, footpaths and playgrounds in all parts of the division.

Many drainage issues throughout the division have been addressed and where possible fixed. Many kilometres of new pathways have been installed and the overall amenity of the division has been improved to make the area a more liveable and attractive place to call home.

Rate increases have been minimal, and the increases are at a much lower rate than what was experienced previously. The region is growing and starting to thrive, due to the ongoing hard work put in by Council advocating and promoting the regions potential.

There is still so much that I want to achieve for Division 1 and the region and just some of the many current projects that are on the go and being planned are:

Regional

  • Establishment of a bio-fuels hub

  • Upgrade of the regions water treatment plants

  • Investigation/introduction of a green waste service

  • Continue to keep Rates & Charges increases as low as possible

  • Advocating and promotion of the many industry groups

  • Working with all other levels of Government for the betterment of the region

  • Working with disability advocates to improve accessibility for people of all abilities within all of the Council region.

All the above and everything that has been achieved to date, has come from you. I will continue to listen to what you have to say and deliver what you need and want.

Ultimately it will be up to you the community and what you think needs to be done, I will continue to fight for what you tell me is important and what is best for our communities and region.

Some of the many projects already delivered in my 4 year term as your Councillor
